Our Society
A scholarly home for comparative and international education in East Africa
CIESEA brings together researchers, scholars, practitioners, organizations, and experts represented by universities, research centres, and education agencies across Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, South Sudan, Rwanda, DRC, and Burundi.
The Society promotes dialogue among specialists and young researchers, and encourages teaching, research, and innovation in comparative and international education across the region and the wider globe. It also attracts honorary membership globally, creating space for scholars from related disciplines who want to interpret educational developments in a broad cultural, political, and social context.
